AusDI CMI Retrieval for Selected Dispensed Product in Wait Screen
Description:
Currently, Fred Dispense Plus integrates with AusDI to allow printing of Consumer Medicine Information (CMI) for the last dispensed product via the AusDI tile. However, a significant workflow issue arises when a user forgets to print the CMI for a previously dispensed item and subsequently dispenses another product.
Problem:
When a user selects a previously dispensed product from the "wait screen" (or similar screen where dispensed items are listed) and attempts to retrieve the CMI via the AusDI tile, the system retrieves the CMI for the most recently dispensed product, not the selected product. This results in the user receiving the incorrect CMI, requiring manual searching in AusDI or other workarounds.
Proposed Solution/Feature Request:
Modify the AusDI integration within Fred Dispense Plus to retrieve the CMI for the specifically selected dispensed product from the "wait screen" (or relevant screen), rather than always defaulting to the last dispensed item.
Detailed Explanation of Desired Behavior:
User Dispenses Product A.
User Dispenses Product B.
User realizes they forgot to print the CMI for Product A.
User navigates to the "wait screen" (or relevant screen).
User selects Product A from the list of dispensed items.
User clicks the AusDI tile.
Fred Dispense Plus should retrieve and display the CMI for Product A, not Product B.
Benefits:
Improved Accuracy: Ensures users consistently receive the correct CMI for the intended medication.
Enhanced Workflow Efficiency: Eliminates the need for manual searching and reduces the risk of dispensing incorrect information.
Reduced Errors: Minimizes the potential for patient confusion or harm due to incorrect CMI.
Better user experience: Makes the software more intuitive.
