Would it be possible to consider adding “Last Dispensed” and “SIG/Instructions” columns to the MedViewFlow queue?

The main benefit would be having enough information directly on the MedViewFlow screen to determine why an item has been flagged following AutoDispense, particularly when an “early” dispensing error occurs or there is a synchronisation issue.

For example, a patient may be taking escitalopram 20 mg with directions of 2 mane daily. If the medication is dispensed after 14 days rather than 21 days, this may be appropriate based on the patient’s directions, but Fred Dispense can still generate an “early” dispensing error. If we could see the last dispense date and SIG/instructions directly in the MedViewFlow queue, we could quickly determine whether the dispensing is appropriate rather than having to manually go through the script queue and use Q Dispense or Dot Dispense.

The same feature would also be very useful for identifying synchronisation issues. For example, if Fred Dispense shows that an item was dispensed yesterday but Bestmed is still showing the previous dispense date as 31/08/2026, we would immediately be able to see that there is a discrepancy between the systems. This would allow us to investigate and correct the issue without having to go back through the script queue and manually process the item using Q Dispense or Dot Dispense.

Having these two additional columns would essentially give us the relevant context at the point where an error occurs, allowing us to determine whether the issue is a genuine dispensing problem, an appropriate early dispense based on the directions, or a synchronisation issue.

I think this could significantly reduce unnecessary manual processing (Q/dot dispensing) and make the MedViewFlow workflow more efficient.
