Print active ingredient before brand name on repeat authorisations
Please prioritise the option to print the active ingredient name before the brand name on printed repeat authorisations—for example, “rosuvastatin 20 mg (Crestor)”.
With active ingredient prescribing now established practice, patients should see consistent medicine names across their prescriptions, dispensing labels and repeat authorisations. This would help them identify their medicines and reduce confusion when brands change, while retaining the brand information where needed.
The original request dates back to June 2021. Could Fred provide an update and an expected implementation timeframe?
