   F1 is a standard windows shortcut for help, so I don't think it should be disabled out of the box. Perhaps they could include an option to turn it off if you really do keep hitting the wrong key.

    If you start your search with an asterisk eg (*atenolol) it does a generic search. You can then select the correct item line and all the generic options show up.
