  1. Some allergies, such as Elastoplast, are not included in the current list of allergies within Fred Plus. The user would like to have the ability to "free type"/add their own allergies.

  4. Ability to set the default Address Label (Totals Label)
We always use Totals Label at POS and this would make it faster if it was default instead of selecting each time

  5. In Classic, in the Patient History, some scripts are flagged with the letter 'r' to identify scripts that were previously owing but have been reconciled.
Although these details are now in the Script Audit, having a quick visual indicator from F2/Patient History is helpful when assessing patient compliance and and correspondence with prescribers.

  8. Fred Dispense Plus does not show in the patient history if an item was dispensed with GST. Some items need to be dispensed that have GST (e.g. OTC items etc). In Fred Dispense Classic, a small + symbol appears next to the price to indicate that it is "GST-inclusive". There does not appear to be any indication of this in Fred Dispense Plus, and so you have to either go back in and "edit" the item to see if GST has been flagged, or print a patient receipt. This increases the likelihood of GST and charging errors by the pharmacy.

  9. Mixtures that require users to add water (eg Amoxil 250mg/5ml) are considered extemp for PBS pricing purposes

Because of this, the customized PBS fees, which are only for ready-prepared items, do not apply when dispensing those mixtures

Users want the customized PBS fees to apply for mixtures too

  15. When entering patient and prescriber telephone numbers they should be automatically separated into shorter blocks of digits or ‘chunks’.

Telephone numbers are easier to read and confirm when their digits are chunked, rather than appearing in one large group as they are now.

Australian telephone numbers in general use have no more than 10 digits and the software should prompt you if you have missed entering a digit:

Landlines – 2 digits for the area code followed by 8 digits for the rest of the telephone number i.e., 02 XXXX XXXX .

Mobiles – 10 digits (there is no area…

  16. Before finishing dispensing an E-Script, have it clearly shown in Patient Details where any repeat will go (i.e PRINT, SMS, MySL, etc).
This should save time correcting after the fact.

  17. Ability to Create a MedsIndex within Fred Dispense Plus allowing the monitoring of multiple medications repeat refill intervals giving the pharmacy the ability to support their patient needs.
Would like a Medication Summary of all medications a patient is on with a score. Like the one available in Fred Dispense Classic

  18. When printing labels for a script with multiple packs it would be nice to be able to specify how many tablets are in each box.
eg. Total quantity 90 tablets (product comes as box of 20). FRED would allow you to specify 20, 20, 20, 20 and 10 quantity on each label.

  19. After filtering rejected scripts in the PBS claim screen, editing one of the rejected scripts clears that filter. Users need to set the filter again to locate the remaining rejected scripts. This becomes very repetitive especially when there are many rejected scripts that need to be reclaimed. The system should remember the filter even after editing a script.

  20. Sometimes patients request to get a smaller quantity with an increased number of repeats compared to what Dr prescribes. (eg, Dr prescribes qty 30 with 0 repeats, but patient asks pharmacy to dispense qty 10 with 2 repeats)

Currently, in such a scenario, details on the eRx message are not updated with new quantity and repeats remaining. This causes an issue, especially when dispensing outside repeat eScripts with such change.

To prevent the issue, the system should block the repeats fields from being edited on ePrescrition.
